Mr. Kirabira has a work experience of seven years in environmental and social safeguards management consultancy. He is a certified ESIA practitioner and a certified environmental auditor by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). Mr. Kirabira is a certified ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management Systems (EMS) specialist. The competences and skills he has acquired over time have enabled him significantly contribute to a number of environmental and social development consultancy assignments including; Environmental Feasibility Studies, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), development of Environmental-Social Management and Monitoring Plans (ESMP), development of Environmental Restoration Plans (ERP), Environmental Audits (EA), development of Contractors’ Environmental-Social Implementation Plans (CESIP)

development of Waste Management Plans (WMP), development of Occupational Health and Safety Management Plans, development of Resettlement Action Plans (RAP) and Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA). Key sectors he has worked in include; mining and mineral development, water transport, water resources management, tourism, and general infrastructure
development (majorly roads, power lines, and buildings), renewable energy development, agro-processing, animal husbandry, food and beverage processing, manufacturing industries, petroleum supply, and telecommunication systems. This has offered him an opportunity to work with a diverse clientele base, including; the Government of Uganda, Non Government Organizations, International government agencies (GIZ, AFD, USAID, and UK AID among others), Contractors of infrastructural projects, both international and local private developers. He is well versed with environmental policies and procedures of multilateral financial
institutions including the World Bank, IFC, ADB and China Exim Bank among others.
